MKE

MKE was an entertainment weekly published by Journal Sentinel, Inc., the company that owns Milwaukee's major daily newspaper. A member of the editorial staff from February 2007 until the paper folded in July 2008, I was involved in virtually every facet of production. I wrote timely feature stories, the movies page and a weekly events digest, while managing Web content and several databases shared by the parent publication.

Teamsters Local 344: Campaign material

Executive officers in the Teamsters Union are elected by the members that they represent every three years. I managed a successful campaign for the current executive officers of Local 344 in West Allis, Wis. who ran for election under the name Common Sense Slate.
My job primarily involved generating the message for the campaign. I drafted and designed campaign materials, mailers, position papers, informational handouts and flyers, making sure the Slate was equipped with a message that would win the vote. Here are samples of some of the campaign materials I produced.
